About Forever PvP Leaderboards
Forever PvP Leaderboards is the official duel ladder and PvP leaderboard site for World of Warcraft: Forever. A free addon records your 1v1 duels, battlegrounds, world PvP kills and Gurubashi Arena fights in-game, both players' addons confirm each duel, and this site publishes the rankings.
What it is
Every ranked duel between two players running the addon changes both players' rating. Ratings are kept separately per season and per level bracket, and the ladder can be filtered by faction (Horde or Alliance) and by class. The site also lists tournaments run through the addon, with full brackets and champions.
Brackets
- Ranked duels: exact level 19 and level 60 (the Beta season used 19 and 30).
- A duel is ranked only when both players are exactly the bracket level: 19 vs 19, or 60 vs 60. Other level pairings, including 30 vs 30 after the Beta season, don't change anyone's rating.
- Each bracket has its own rating, rank and record. One character can appear in both. Past seasons keep the brackets they were played in, so the Beta season's ladder still shows level 19 and level 30.
How rating works
- Everyone starts at 1500.
- Ratings use the Elo system. The K-factor is 40 for your first 10 games and 24 after that, so new players find their level quickly and then settle.
- Beating a higher-rated opponent earns more than beating a lower-rated one; losing to a lower-rated opponent costs more.
- To discourage farming, repeat duels against the same opponent within 24 hours count for ×1, ×1, ×0.5, ×0.25, then 0.
- You need 5 games in a bracket before you get a tier and a rank. Until then you are shown as Placement.
Tiers
| Tier | Rating |
|---|---|
| Grand Champion | 2000+ |
| Blademaster | 1850–1999 |
| Duelist | 1700–1849 |
| Challenger | 1550–1699 |
| Contender | 1400–1549 |
| Initiate | below 1400 |
| Placement | fewer than 5 games |
Verification
When a duel ends, both players' addons report what they saw, and matching reports confirm the duel. The official ladder is then rebuilt from data collected in-game by admin collectors, not from numbers players submit themselves.
- Verified An unbroken chain of confirmed duels from the season start.
- Partial The latest rating is confirmed, but some earlier duels are missing from the collected data.
- Conflict The two addons reported different results for at least one duel.
A warning next to a name means the ladder noticed an unusual pattern, such as very few distinct opponents, many games against one opponent, or an unusually fast climb. It is a heads-up, not an accusation. Banned players stay listed but are not ranked.
Shared ranks
Players with exactly the same value share a rank, and the next rank is skipped: two players tied for first are both 1 and the next player is 3. On the leaderboards a shared rank is marked with = (for example =4).
World PvP
- The addon counts your honorable kills and PvP deaths out in the world and reports them, together with honor, kill streaks and zones.
- A kill is verified when a kill heard from one faction matches the victim's own death report from the other faction within 30 seconds. Self-reported totals can't be checked this way; verified kills can, so the World PvP board ranks by verified kills first.
- K/D is honorable kills per death. A player who hasn't died counts as one death, so a clean record still gets a K/D.
- Repeat kills: killing the same player over and over gives less and less honor in the game, but the kill message still shows. So at most 4 kills of the same player in 24 hours count toward honorable kills and verified kills; the rest are still listed in the addon.
Gurubashi Arena
- The arena in Stranglethorn is free-for-all: anyone can fight anyone, whatever their faction.
- A takedown is a player you were fighting when they fell. Dying ends your current streak.
- Chests count Arena Master wins: looting the chest when it drops.
Battlegrounds
- When a battleground ends, the addon reads the end-of-match scoreboard: result, killing blows, honorable kills, deaths, honor and objectives such as flag captures and bases assaulted.
- A game is confirmed when another player in the same match reported it too: same battleground, same end time, matching result.
- MVP goes to the player with the most killing blows on the whole scoreboard of the match.
- Leaving a battleground early isn't counted as a loss. It also doesn't count toward any minimum below.
- Per-game averages only count games where the scoreboard numbers could be read.
Board minimums
Rates and averages need enough games before they mean anything, so some boards only list players past a minimum:
- Battleground win % and K/D: 10 finished games (wins, losses and draws).
- Per-battleground win % and per-game boards: 5 finished games on that battleground.
- World PvP K/D: 10 honorable kills, counting at most 4 kills of the same player in 24 hours.
- Gurubashi Arena K/D: 10 takedowns and deaths together.
Seasons
Seasons follow WoW: Forever's PvP seasons (the honor rank seasons). Everything before launch on November 4, 2026 (00:00 UTC) is the Beta season; Season 1 starts at launch, and each later season starts on the date Forever's PvP season does. Exact dates are announced as they're known, and a season keeps running until the next one starts. Each season starts everyone fresh at 1500; past seasons stay viewable from the season menu on the ladder.
